Hello Doolittle Families,

Our Open Houses went very well this week! Many thanks to those families who were able to attend. Teachers were excited to share information about class routines and procedures as well as grade level curriculum with you.

It is my hope that our Open House nights will open lines of communication between families and Doolittle School staff. Communication between home and school is a vital component of students’ academic and social success!
Please call or email the school or your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns.

The Doolittle PTA has some New, Cool Doolittle Spirit wear this year.

Hello Doolittle Families.

Our Last Day of School yesterday was bittersweet.
We held a town meeting that included some memorable presentations by students and teachers. We said goodbye to our sixth graders as they lined the hall after our Town Meeting and gave out high-fives.

Thanks to the entire Doolittle Community for a great year.
Enjoy your Summer!

Field Day - 6/9/17

Tomorrow is FIELD DAY!
We are aware of the weather forecast and have scheduled most events to take place before noon.

We are asking families to help us with the following:
  1. Make sure students have a waterbottle
  2. Make sure children are wearing sunscreen
  3. Students should wear sneakers and appropriate attire for active play
  4. Please talk with your child about Good Sportsmanship

My sincere apologies to First Graders and First Grade Families that Field Day conflicts with Grade 1’s trip to Camp Sloper. I’m sure First Graders will have an excellent day at Camp Sloper tomorrow.

Many Thanks for your support above and for making this year so successful.

Hello Doolittle Families,

We have had a great week of Music at Doolittle School. The Doolittle Strings, Band and Chorus performed for parents and students. Mr. Szulczewski, Mrs. Weed and Mrs. O’Dell ensure that the  music program at Doolittle School is as strong as our academic program. IMG_20170518_192230003.jpg

Next week Field Day is on Thursday, 5/25. Please make sure your child wears appropriate clothing and sunscreen. Field Day at Doolittle School is a unique learning experience for our children. Mr. Daly works very hard to prepare our 6th grade students to be able to run the variety of activities for the younger grades. Taking on this leadership role is a valuable experience for our oldest students.

Hello Doolittle Families,

Next week is Teacher Appreciation Week at Doolittle School. The PTA has planned some great activities to thank our teachers.
The PTA would like students to make a card for their teacher and bring it in on Thursday, May 11th.

If you haven’t yet, please take a moment to fill out the  Elementary Parent Safe School Climate Survey 2016-17. The information gathered from this survey will be used to analyze our school and make plans for improvement.

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 6th is the Discover Dodd Day and Food Truck Festival at Dodd Middle School from 11am to 3pm.  There will be music, activities, vendors, raffle prizes as well as tours of Dodd Middle School.
